Statement
Una Platform ("the Platform") is owned and operated by Una Technologies Limited ("Una"). Una is committed to fully implementing and complying with all relevant provisions under the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance of Hong Kong.
Data Collected
The following data may be collected from users of the Platform:
- Account and Contact Information - Information such as user id, name, email address and other details provided during registration or supplied by identity providers.
- Technical Data - Data such as IP address and browsing behavior on the Platform.
- Content Provided - Questions, marking schemes, answers and other materials uploaded to the Platform.
Identity Providers
Currently, there are 3 identity providers supported by the Platform:
- Microsoft
The Platform receives an account identifier from the provider and may also receive the name, email address or username associated with that account. This information is used to link or authenticate a Platform account, and any name received may be used as the display name on the Platform.
Each provider's privacy policy governs its own data practices. Users may manage or revoke the Platform's access through the settings provided by the respective provider. Revoking access does not delete data already held by Una.
Use of Data
Una uses data collected for purposes related to the operation of the Platform, including but not limited to account management, service improvement, communication with users and issue investigation.
Data will be transferred to third parties only as necessary to operate the Platform (including to AI service providers) or as required by law. Consent will be obtained unless the law permits or requires the transfer without it.
Una may use anonymised data and content from the Platform to develop new services or improve existing services, including by training or fine-tuning AI models used by Una. Before such use, identifying information must be removed or transformed so that no user, school or student can reasonably be identified, directly or indirectly, from the data or content. This includes identifying information within uploaded text, images and other materials. Information received from identity providers is excluded from these uses.
Una will not publish, disclose or make available any user's personal data or user-submitted content, including anonymised copies of that content, to other users or third parties, whether through these AI models or otherwise, except where the user chooses to share it on the Platform or as described in this Policy.
Una does not permit its third-party AI service providers to use data from the Platform to train or fine-tune their own models.
Data Protection
Una takes all reasonably practicable steps to ensure that data collected are protected against unauthorized or accidental access, processing, erasure, loss or use.
